A little bit about Jorokee:

Jorokee has heaps of experience in the care industry, working in both domiciliary and live-in care; she has a particular focus on live-in care, as she came to us with 3.5 years under her belt! She highlights that her passion lies in making people's lives easier and striving to bring positive changes to the community. 

Can you share a bit about your background and what you did prior to joining Right at Home?

I worked for a Christian Charity for 24 years- my work was mainly in admin and publicity but when required I covered catering, hospitality etc.

What inspired you to join Right at Home?

I liked that they had positive reviews and are rated Oustanding on CQC.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day involves giving personal care, administering medications, preparing meals and cleaning/ doing laundry - spending time with the client.

Can you share a memorable moment or achievement that you have experienced as a caregiver?

Find a client in a low condition and seeing them recovering and getting better day by day.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of work?

Sewing, Travelling and Photography.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received?

That I should not feel offended when I’m being corrected and keep smiling!

Sharing solutions to any challenges we are facing at work.
