Happy birthday Marion!

There have been lots of birthdays marked in lockdown but few have been more noteworthy than Marian Chipperfield’s who celebrated her 102nd birthday last week. Marion from Farnham is a client of Right at Home GF which provides care services to people in their own homes, ranging from companionship to round-the-clock live-in care.
To honour the occasion, Marion’s CareGiver presented her with an edition of The Times published on the date she was born in February 1919. Marion was born when World War 1 was barely over and women had only recently begun to get the vote. George V, our current Queen’s grandfather was on the throne, while radios and home telephones were the stuff of science fiction.
Alastair Shanks, Managing Director of Right at Home GF says: “Two or 102 – every birthday is special and we were delighted to be able to share in Marion’s 102nd birthday this year. What an amazing achievement! It is a privilege to provide care for clients such as Marion, to enable them to live as full and independent a life as possible, to keep them safe, well and to provide companionship.”
