At Right at Home Barnet & Edgware, we have an exceptional team of women across all positions in our business. On International Women’s Day, as well as every other day of the year, we celebrate the women who provide some of society's most vulnerable adults with the highest quality of care.

This International Women’s Day, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the women making a difference in Right at Home Barnet & Edgware. At Right at Home Barnet & Edgware on International Women’s Day, we’d like to thank all of the women who work tirelessly every day to transform the lives of our Clients.

This year’s International Women’s Day is focused on embracing equity and ensuring everyone has access to the same opportunities despite their background, mental or physical ability, race or gender.

Women are at the forefront if the care industry. Adult social care workforce data from Skills for Care shows that 82% of care workers are women. However, in senior management roles across care, the proportion of women decreases to 68%. We firmly believe in the importance of placing women in all positions throughout the business: from CareGivers to Registered Managers. we appreciate hard work and give recognition where it is due.

For Right at Home Barnet & Edgware this means, we are committed in listening to our team, ensuring that we create a work environment that offers great support to our team.

We are always learning, continuing to grow as a business, and encouraging everyone at Right at Home Barnet & Edgware to contribute ideas that support our development. Together we can all #EmbraceEquity.

A Family-feel culture

At Right at Home Barnet & Edgware we strive to create a family-feel environment where team members are encouraged to talk openly about any issues that they are facing. In order for team members to communicate effectively, they must respect and understand each other. As part of our effort to create a comfortable, inclusive working environment, we hold regular bonding days and actively listen to suggestions and feedback from the team. Last year we held 3 team meeting which allowed our amazing team to share suggestions and have the chance to speak with the management privately to check everything is going well and if they have any concerns or problems the may want to discuss.  It’s important to us that we grow and develop relationships around the workplace.

Our Deputy Manager Julie Patel:

Julie’s career in social care has been varied and challenging, yet highly rewarding over the last 3 years. From initially starting out as a CareGiver, Julie’s career has gone from strength to strength. She trained as a manual handling assessor and became more office based. As her children have grown up, she has taken on more work responsibilities that fit around her lifestyle. At the age of 41, she now has more social care certificates and qualifications than she could have imagined. She has achieved a level 2 and 3 qualifications in health and social care and is now put forward to study level 5 in health and social care. Julie is keen to continue her professional development. Julie is an amazing Deputy manager and has developed an exceptional relationship with other carers.
