What will I be responsible for as a care giver with Right at Home Barnet & Edgware

Core responsibilities are different for each area and Clients no two days are ever the same/Each day is different/every CareGiver will have a differing experience. All roles have the shared aim of helping to improve the lives of Clients and their families.

Responsibilities can include:

  • Companionship
  • Personal care

What will each day look like as a carer for Right at Home Barnet & Edgware

No two days with Right at Home are the same, but a typical day in the life of a Caregiver could look a little something like this...

8 am: Wake up- It’s time for your personal care call with 85 years old Edna.

10 am: Breakfast preparation- You would support in preparing breakfast of Edna’s choice and then administer medication according to her care plan.

12 pm: Lunch preparation- Prepare lunch according to Edna’s choice.

2 pm: Go for a walk/shopping or do light house cleaning.

5 pm: Dinner preparation- Supporting with preparing fresh meals or warming ready meals.

7 pm: Bed time routine- To support Edna in bed.

How much will I earn as a CareGiver?

There are many inaccuracies surrounding how much care givers are paid, but these are often untrue.

  • At Right at Home Barnet & Edgware, we’re committed to paying above-average hourly rates of pay. Our CareGivers currently receive £10.25 per hour, with evening and weekend rates increasing to as much as £10.75 per hour.

  • We also offer a above average fuel allowance of 30p a mile. This allowance was recently raised to support our CareGivers with fuel price increases
