We are officially Outstanding

I am delighted to announce that we have become the first homecare company in the Basingstoke area to be awarded an overall Outstanding Rating. We received a glowing inspection report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
During the unannounced inspection we were rated “Outstanding” for Caring and Responsive leading to an Overall Outstanding. This was the second time that our service, which was established in August 2015, had been fully inspected post-registration with the CQC. At our previous inspection we received an overall Good rating with Outstanding for Caring.
According to the CQC report, one of the key strengths of our service was how caring it was.
It said, “Staff were exceptionally caring, compassionate and kind in their approach and reflected the values of the service, to treat people as they would one of their relatives”.
And continued, “Staff were motivated and were passionate about providing high quality care that they were proud of, treating people with utmost kindness and respect”.
After speaking with Clients and CareGivers, the CQC inspector also praised the lengths the CareGivers went to with Clients. The report said; “Staff had outstanding skills in working with people to understand and meet their needs, even in challenging circumstances, and to support them to have a good quality of life”.
The CareGivers themselves were very complementary about the support provided to them. The report quotes one as saying “I love it (my job)! The Coordinator and the Registered Manager are amazing. So supportive. The Director is so lovely, they all are”. Another said “I went for a few interviews. Here they said they want carers who provide care as if it were to their mum, and I thought, ‘That’s it, that what I want’.”
I’m so pleased with the outcome of this inspection. It’s fantastic that the team here at Right at Home have been recognised for all the great work they do. They are truly inspirational and are always going the extra mile for our Clients. We are passionate and committed to providing personalised support and are delighted that this has been highlighted within this inspection. Our CareGivers are our most important asset and I am grateful for all of their efforts in making a difference to the lives of our Clients.
