Having spent the past 11 years working as the Registered Manager for a market leading Home Care provider in Central London, I felt it was time to move closer to home and give something back to my own local community here in Borehamwood.
I registered as a Nurse in 1995 having trained at the Royal Free Hospital and stayed registered with the NMC till October 2017. I specialised in Haematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplants and was a trained Chemotherapy Nurse.
I later took this experience to work in a business setting supplying specialist Nurses to both the NHS and into the private sector. I progressed as the Registered Manager of the Home care team where I worked for 6 years. I was so proud of the team I built and the service we provided. I loved nothing more then visiting clients in their own home, seeing how comfortable they were and knowing that we had a part to play in supporting them.
My father started his own business at my age and it became the source of many family conversations giving me an unofficial degree in business studies. Matched with my Nursing qualifications, I became extremely successful in a business environment.
I thrive in the home care setting as it gives me the opportunity to use both my clinical skills and my love of business and over the past few years, this has become my passion. I’ve been living in Borehamwood for over 10 years and prior to that lived in Radlett for 8 years. I grew up abroad in the Middle East and Canada and I’ve travelled around South East Asia and Australia, Nursing, as well as working on a yacht as a deck hand, attempting a job as a snorkelling safari lead and completing my advanced scuba diving course!
These days, in my spare time, I am busy with my 10 year old daughter, my husband and our gorgeous puppy Dillon.
