Our client Alan visits to look over our diabetes training and loves seeing the office

We are always looking for ways to increase our understanding of the conditions we help our clients to manage. A condition that affects both the people we care for and some of our team is diabetes and Alan kindly visited the office on Wednesday 17th July 2024 to review the advice and training we give our caregivers. He reviewed the diabetes risk assessment we use and gave it his seal of approval.
While he was with us, Alan also said that suggestions we made to him about keeping all his diabetes related equipment together including his medication, glucose tablets, first aid box, spare medication and other emergency items as well as instructions on what to do if his sensor is not working make a big difference to his quality of life and his feeling of being safe.
During his visit to the office, Alan said that even when we're not with him he feels looked after and that our support and advice has been invaluable in helping him mange his diabetes independently.
Although he's met most of the office team already because we are all carers first, Alan loved looking round the office and picking various items of Right at Home swag including a torch, a water bottle and some hand sanitizer. Not only are we generous with our care in Bournemouth and Poole, we're pretty generous with the goodies we dish out.
