Right at Home Bristol and the Community

Right at Home Bristol make positive links with the local Community.
We can probably all remember the stories during lockdown of how many peoples' loved ones deteriorated in both their physical and mental wellbeing due to the added loneliness and isolation as a direct result of the pandemic, however, loneliness and isolation is there all of the time for many of the vulnerable people in our communities.
While we are able to touch the lives of a few of these people, as they are our clients, we would like to do more, and for this reason we have set up our Friday Lunch Club working with Holy Trinity Church in Kingswood and 'We are BS15 CIC' (https://wearebs15.co.uk/), a community-led not-for-profit organisation.
The closure of many community centres has left a void and this is a small step towards bridging that gap. Anybody is welcome in the over-50's age range for a two course hot meal with activities before and after. These sessions are organised and led by our own staff, other willing contributors, such as Alive Activities, AGE UK, South Gloucestershire Council and even the local primary school.
