Benefits of Domiciliary Support: Why Should You Consider Homecare?

Are you thinking about in-home support for the first time? You might be surprised by how many advantages it provides:

Remain in your own surroundings

Choosing homecare means receiving the right support while staying in the comfort of your own home. Research suggests that living at home when receiving care can have a positive impact on both mental and emotional well-being.

Flexible care

Because we deliver person-centred services, our care is designed around you. As a Client, you decide when and how you receive support.

Tailored to your needs

We recognise that everyone’s situation is unique. Homecare allows you to receive personalised support that suits your specific requirements.

Community of support

With homecare, your primary carers can continue to be actively involved in your well-being. Our care professionals provide advice and guidance regarding your care, and this involvement can carry on after each visit. Please note – any information about your care service will only be shared with your loved ones if you have given consent.

Cost-effective option

In-home support can also be more cost-effective than other types of care. Residential facilities can be costly, whereas homecare ensures you pay only for the support you need.

home-care-review

"A truly caring bunch of individuals who accommodated as much as possible for our needs. My husband was one of their youngest clients and at times was very difficult to work with, but the ladies always tried to keep a smile on his face and be as fun and professional as possible. At times some of the staff went above and beyond what was expected of them and they were also very much apart of my support network."

For families, this means knowing that their loved one’s care is uniquely designed to suit their lifestyle and evolving needs.

Promoting Dignity and Independence

Our CareGivers work closely with Clients, empowering them to maintain as much independence as possible. Whether it’s supporting daily tasks or encouraging them to participate in decision-making, we aim to enhance their quality of life while respecting their dignity. Families often tell us how reassuring it is to see their loved ones enjoying a greater sense of control and purpose.

Longer visits also enable deeper connections to form, offering your loved one not just care but genuine companionship.

Continuity of Care

To build trust and familiarity, we match Clients with the same CareGivers wherever possible. This consistency ensures your loved one feels comfortable and secure, while family members have the confidence of knowing their CareGiver truly understands their needs and preferences.

FAQ's

Are CareGiver's insured and checked?

Yes. Every CareGiver is a Right at Home employee. To help ensure the safety and wellbeing of our Clients, we perform a criminal history background clearance and then cover each CareGiver with general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Will I have a choice of who comes into my home?

Yes. We encourage your involvement in the decision-making process and with our proprietary screening and selection system. You can rest assured that we do our best to take the guesswork out of matching the right CareGiver to you and your family.

However, you must be satisfied. We’ll never send a CareGiver who doesn’t meet your needs, and we’ll always accommodate any requests you may have for a change in CareGivers.

What are the costs of your services?

Every family we serve receives a Personal Care Plan specific to their needs and budget. Several factors help determine the exact cost:

  • Number of hours of care per week
  • Level of homecare services received (non-medical, personal care, etc.)
  • Area of the country where services are provided

Our services are typically billed on an hourly basis. To discuss the exact rates for the services you may need, contact our office. We’ll set up an in-home consultation to begin discussing a Personal Care Plan and the rates for each service on your plan.

We always provide a written rate sheet prior to initiating services. Rates will never be increased without at least thirty days’ notice.

How is the privacy of my personal information maintained?

Your information is never sold to a third party under any circumstances. In fact, only the office personnel and CareGivers who are directly involved in your services will have access to information related to the care of your loved one.
