A Day In The Life of Community Relations Manager Jenny

Jenny joined Right at Home in August 2024 as part of the business development team as a Community Relations Manager.
It is Jenny’s role to make sure that as many people in the community know about Right at Home, our values and services, whether this is professional networking with other service providers to the elderly and vulnerable or helping out at the local Age Concern coffee afternoon.
As well as zipping around the county Jenny is also a Dementia Champion for Surrey and is perfect at bringing together the community.
No day is typical for Jenny but we followed her starting off the day by heading to the Older People’s Network meeting, chaired by MD Alastair, to meet others who support the elderly to share best practice, update each other on services and see how we can work together.
It was then lunchtime to go home and walk her dogs.
At 1:30 Jenny's day picks up again as she sets off for a jam-packed afternoon of relationship building and getting Right at Home's name out in the local communities! She first headed off to Greenview Care Home in West End to create a new referral scheme, with the aim of getting our name out there for respite and hospital to home care - it was a successful meeting!
Jenny then had a quick turn around to get to Places Leisure in Camberley to have a face of Right at Home at the OTAGO seated Exercise class, in which we sponsor, and to talk about any of our services!
To finish the day, Jenny runs home at 4:30 to email new and exciting partners.
