The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

The awards are all inclusive, bringing together the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers; promoting joint working.  Working in partnership with care partners and local care associations is at the heart of the initiative; working and linking directly with local managers and networks to further promote the event.

Right at Home, Cardiff & Newport are nominated for three awards the Care Team Award and to Jemma Nicholas, The Frontline Leaders Award and Abbeygail Folland, for The Workforce Development Award after winning the Reginal Awards back in 2019.

Right at Home, provides care and support to people living in their own homes, predominantly in the Cardiff & Newport district but extending to surrounding areas. It currently supports more than two hundred and fifty clients and employs a team of one hundred and sixty Caregivers. It offers a wide range of services, from companionship, home help and personal care to specialist dementia care and live-in care services.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis the 2020 National Finals will be held virtually on 30th October 2020
