During Carers Week 2020we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our carers from Cardiff and Newport who continue to all work hard and provide much-needed support to our Clients.

Thank you to all our Caregivers in what has been a very challenging few month’s during this pandemic.

Right at Home, Cardiff & Newport run our yearly Carers Awards to recognise just some of the carers across the company where we have received great feedback from clients, families, and colleagues.

Our Coordinators have been really impressed with the number of compliments about our Carers during the last 12 months and as a result nominated Carers for our 2019 awards based on long service, continued dedication, client satisfaction and colleague support. This shortlist reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality care for our clients.

Right at Home provides care and support to people living in their own homes, across Cardiff & Newport. It currently supports more than 170 Clients and employs a team of 200 CareGivers.

Services range from companionship, home help and personal care to specialist dementia care and live-in care services.

The awards ceremony gives us the opportunity to shine a spotlight on some the team and celebrate their continued hard work and dedication to improving the lives of each one of our Clients.

Shahida Begum – thank you so much for everything; it has been a pleasure to work here for so long. Everyone in the office is lovely as are those I work in the community with; it makes it easy.

Sarah Steed – I am absolutely ecstatic; I am over the moon. Lately things have been going so well; I’m so happy to be with Right at Home. The positivity from the office is flowing into the community, I feel as though we are all ‘one team’. I am so pleased with the work we are doing and Andrew has been great and he has reinforced everything he has said.

Sarah Snell – Thank you so much for everything.

Millie Rathbone – I was very surprised to receive Young Caregiver of the Year Award! All the girls I work with are all so good at their job, so to know that my work has been recognised amongst them is amazing! It’s not always an easy job, so I’m just glad I must be doing something right!

Kaynat Kosser – I wasn’t expecting it; absolutely over the moon. For once I am speechless, thank you very much, for once I am speechless.

Kellie Williams – After six and a half years of working for Right at Home I have learnt so much from staff and clients. The rewards for doing this job is seeing the clients happy and thankful that people like us give them what they want and that’s to stay at home, not to be looked after, but to be cared for by carers like us, who’s hearts are big enough to go around and make life easier for those who need it.
