Hello, I'm Bev, a Senior Carer with Right at Home Cheshire East. I've been dedicating my skills and passion to elderly care at home since April 2020. My journey has been nothing short of rewarding and deeply enriched by my specialisation in Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) feeding tube support. This role allows me to provide vital homecare assistance to those in need, making every day a unique and fulfilling experience.

What do I love about my job? Firstly, the diversity of each day keeps me on my toes and continuously learning. Secondly, the opportunity to care for people is a privilege that fills my heart with joy. There's an incomparable satisfaction in knowing I can make a difference in someone's life, whether through dementia home care, palliative care, or daily support services. Living in Stockport has given me a profound sense of community and the importance of providing compassionate care to those around me.

Outside work, my life is filled with activities nourishing my soul. I'm an avid fan of the arts, frequently found at the theatre or catching a movie at the cinema. Walking through the beautiful landscapes that Stockport and its surroundings offer is another passion of mine, allowing me to connect with nature and find peace. And, of course, singing is my go-to joy — whether in the shower, while cooking, or during a stroll, you'll often catch me belting out a tune.

If I were on a desert island, the one thing I couldn't live without would be a radio. Music has the power to uplift, comfort, and transport me to different worlds. It's essential for keeping spirits high, especially in solitude.

While I don't have any pets to share my hobbies with, the love and gratitude I receive from the people I care for fill that space abundantly. Each smile, word of thanks, or moment of comfort shared with a client reaffirms my commitment to this profession.

In essence, being a part of the Right at Home team means more to me than just a job; it's a calling that allows me to spread kindness, offer support, and make meaningful contributions to the lives of those we serve. Here's to many more months and years of making a difference, one day at a time.
