Hi, I'm Lisa, and my journey with Right at Home began on a sunny day in August 2020. Fresh from my travels, stepping into the role of Caregiver was a new chapter for me, one filled with discovery, learning, and immense satisfaction. Living in Hazel Grove has given me the opportunity to be part of a community where I can make a real difference through elderly care at home and homecare assistance.

What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to any situation. This skill has been a cornerstone of my caregiving approach, allowing me to confidently and flexibly meet our client's diverse needs. This adaptability makes each day varied, fulfilling, and immensely rewarding.

The aspects of my job that I treasure the most reflect the very essence of why I chose this path. Each day's variety keeps me engaged and eager to face new challenges. I am fulfilled knowing that the care I provide enhances the lives of those I work with, offering them comfort and companionship. And the sense of reward? It's unparalleled, knowing that I've contributed positively to someone's day, making their life a little easier and a lot happier.

When I'm not providing home care or dementia home care, I'm usually outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature through walking, running, or simply relaxing. Spending quality time with family and friends is another joy, strengthening bonds and creating memories. Travelling has always been a passion of mine, opening my eyes to new experiences and perspectives that I now bring into my caregiving role.

On a desert island, the one thing I couldn't live without is music. It's a source of comfort, motivation, and joy for me, much like the care I aim to provide for others.

A personal note from me: My venture into care needed to be planned. Returning from my travels in 2020, I sought something meaningful, something where I could make a tangible difference. That's how I found myself in care, and I've never looked back. The opportunity to meet and support a wide variety of people, each with their unique stories and needs, has been incredibly rewarding. It's affirmed my commitment to this field, and I see myself continuing to grow and contribute to the world of care long term.
