2025 Wellbeing & Exercise Challenge: Moving Towards Better Health Together

At Right at Home Chippenham, we’re passionate about supporting our Clients’ physical and mental wellbeing. That’s why we’re excited to launch the 2025 Wellbeing & Exercise Challenge in partnership with the British Heart Foundation. This year-long initiative encourages safe, effective, and enjoyable ways to stay active while promoting independence and improving quality of life.
This programme also reflects the British Heart Foundation’s mission to reduce heart-related issues, and we’re proud to support Heart Month this February with our first activity: the Indoor Walking Challenge.
February: Indoor Walking Challenge
👟 Goal: Walk for 5–10 minutes a day indoors.
❤️ Objective: Improve circulation, maintain mobility, and support heart health.
🏠 Why It Matters: Indoor walking is a simple, accessible way to stay active regardless of weather conditions. It helps build stamina, improves heart health, and encourages healthy routines.
Safety Tips:
- Ensure the walking area is free from obstacles.
- Take breaks if feeling tired or out of breath.
- If required, wear sensible socks or indoor shoes for grip.
How You Can Support Clients:
Our CareGivers play a vital role in ensuring the success of this challenge. Here’s how you can help:
- Encourage Participation: Motivate our Clients to engage in the daily exercises, offering assistance if needed.
- Track Progress: Record their achievements on the provided calendar sheet to monitor consistency and celebrate milestones.
- Celebrate Success: Clients who show significant effort or improvement throughout the month will receive a certificate to recognise their hard work and dedication.

This challenge isn’t just for Clients—it’s for our CareGivers, too! Participating alongside Clients can:
- Inspire and motivate them to stay active.
- Build a stronger connection through shared activities.
- Boost your own physical and mental wellbeing.
