
March Exercise Challenge: Celebrating Our Clients’ Achievements & Looking Ahead to April

March was a month of movement, motivation, and meaningful progress for our wonderful clients at Right at Home Chippenham. With the support and encouragement of our dedicated CareGivers, our clients took on the Arm Raising and Circles Challenge — a daily activity designed to improve mobility and flexibility in a gentle, achievable way.
And what a success it was!
From the very beginning, we saw determination, positivity, and real commitment shine through. Clients embraced the challenge with open arms — quite literally — and made steady progress every day. Their energy was infectious, inspiring everyone around them and showing that small daily actions can make a big difference to health and wellbeing.
Highlights from March’s Challenge:

- Consistent commitment: A few of our clients proudly took part in both the February and March challenges — that’s two full months of prioritising movement and wellness.
- Looking ahead with excitement: The momentum from March has left many clients feeling motivated and eager for the next challenge. And it’s just around the corner!
April Challenge: Gentle Step Climbing
As we step into April, it’s only fitting that our next challenge is all about stepping up — literally! This month, we’re introducing the Gentle Step Climbing Challenge, focusing on lower body strength, balance, and mobility.
Here’s what it involves:
Goal: Step up and down on a small, stable step 10–15 times, 2–3 times a day.
Objective: To build stronger legs, improve balance, and enhance mobility for day-to-day tasks.
Impact: Regular step exercises help with walking, standing, and reduce the risk of falls.
Safety Tips:
- Ensure the step is secure and stable.
- Hold onto a solid surface (like a handrail or sturdy chair) for support.
- Break the challenge into small sets throughout the day for comfort.
- If any discomfort or dizziness occurs, take a break and rest.
