A huge benefit of working in many care roles is the option to have flexible hours. This allows you to keep to your other commitments or maybe even an extra job! Care is needed around the clock, so many care providers will give you the option as to what hours will work best for you. You could choose nights only or even specific days.

Working in care can be lots of fun. You meet lots of people and hear so many stories from clients lives. Having a good chat with clients you’ll get to know can really make the day fly by. Some days you may take a client for a day out or to go shopping.

Money
Here at Right at Home Chippenham, we pay between £13 and £14.50 per hour, plus travel time and mileage pay.

Working in the care industry means you’re entitled to a blue light card. This card gives you discounts on a range products and services, such as meals and clothes.
Progression opportunities
Working in care gives you the opportunities to progress and work your way up within a company. For example, you could start as a CareGiver, then become a Team Leader and then a Care Manager. Some companies also offer NVQ qualifications as a part of working with them, so you can become officially qualified.
