Types of Homecare
There are many types of care we offer to our clients. Homecare services are available from as early as 7am to as late as 22:30,seven days a week, 365 days a year, but that's not all. We also help with overnight support & even in live-in care. We can also support with more complex care services. In this blog we are going to show you the types of care which are available from Right at Home Chippenham:
Daytime Visits
Our daytime homecare services are perfect for clients who require support with tasks such as getting ready in the morning, preparation of lunchtime meals, assistance with medication or their bedtime routine. Some clients may have one visit every few days whereas other clients may have multiple daily. Our CareGivers can support with personal care, meal preparation, housework, companionship, complex care services, respite care, and more.
Personal care can include help with showering where our CareGivers will respect the clients and help them to feel comfortable. This can be extremely valuable to clients who may find certain tasks difficult alone.
Respite care gives a break to a person who provides care to their loved one at home. For example, a wife that looks after her husband may benefit from a break, so our CareGivers can come in to look after him while she takes sometime to herself.
Waking Nights
Our waking nights visits are perfect for clients who wake regularly during the night and need support with going to the toilet or getting out of bed. Having a CareGiver awake can also give peace of mind in case of a fall or accident. Our CareGiver stays up through the night and attends to a client when needed. The CareGiver can also complete any household tasks while the client is sleeping.
Sleeping Nights
Sleeping nights are where the CareGiver sleeps at a client’s house and wakes up if a client needs support. These visits are more suitable for clients who wake less frequently through the night and provide peace of mind that there is somebody there if needed.
Live-In Care
Live-In care allows a CareGiver to provide support for most hours of the day. This is great for a client who needs more frequent support. It also means they have a friendly face to keep them company. The CareGiver will live in their house with them so they are available when needed. This is especially beneficial to clients who live alone, to increase their mental wellbeing and morale. Clients who struggle with mobility can benefit from this as they will have somebody there to help them when needed.
Companionship
Companionship visits are great for clients who may not get the opportunity to see family and friends often. Having a good chat with one of our CareGivers can help to improve their mental health. During companionship visits, CareGivers support our clients to complete hobbies or even go on days out like visiting community events and meaningful locations.
We also offer support for more complex needs like mobility difficulties and dementia.
Care is available to support varying needs and preferences. If you or a loved one could benefit from any of our services and you would like to find out more, give us a call and one of our friendly team members will be happy to help.
