Manningtree is on beautiful Holbrook Bay, part of the River Stour in the north of Essex. It is the eastern edge of Dedham Vale. Flatford Mill, Dedham Vale
Flatford Mill offers attractive walks along the river and hot and cold drinks in the tearoom in the nearby granary (plus a well-stocked gift shop!). This is a National Trust property has a wonderful nature reserve with a beautiful wildlife garden. The Munnings Art Museum, Dedham
A regularly changing collection of paintings and drawings by the famous early 20th century artist, Sir Albert Munnings, are exhibited in the artist’s beautiful Georgian home in Dedham. You can see what’s events and workshops are currently happening at The Munnings Art Museum here. The ground floor is accessible by wheelchair. The grounds and garden café are breath-taking and directly accessible from the free car park.
Hearts delight Manningtree
Hearts delight is a brilliant garden centre, a great trip out for a short walk and Hearts Delight is a family owned Garden Centre with a huge range of plants and shrubs, pots and planters to outdoor furniture, plus a large gift shop and range of greetings cards.
