Right at Home Derby & East Staffs Successfully Completes 937-Mile Charity Cycle for the British Heart Foundation
Throughout February, the team at Right at Home Derby & East Staffs took on an incredible challenge - a virtual cycle covering 937 miles, the equivalent distance from Land’s End to John O’ Groats.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness and vital funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), and we are proud to announce that we successfully completed the challenge, raising £100 for this important cause.
The British Heart Foundation works tirelessly to reduce the number of people dying from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. Despite great progress, hundreds of lives are still lost each day. By taking part in this challenge, we contributed to funding lifesaving research and new treatments that will help improve outcomes for those affected by heart conditions.
Every contribution made a difference:
🔬 £24 could fund two hours of research by an early career scientist
🚴 Every mile cycled helped support groundbreaking advancements in heart health
This challenge was a true team effort, with CareGivers, clients, and office staff all taking part to help reach the target. Whether cycling at home, in the gym, or out in the community, everyone played a role in making this fundraiser a success.
To mark this achievement, we hosted an Open Office Celebration on Friday, 28th February, at our Derby branch on Bateman Street. The event featured refreshments and a delicious selection of sweet and savoury baked goods, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the incredible efforts of the team and the difference their contributions have made.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this initiative, whether by cycling, donating, or spreading the word. Every effort has helped to raise awareness and vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Together, we have made a difference!
