The Royal Lancashire Show, a cornerstone of the Lancashire summer, did not disappoint this year! Held at the beautiful Salesbury Hall, the event was a delightful whirlwind of agriculture, entertainment, and family fun.

This year, we decided to participated by holding a stall offering information on all our services, including Companionship,  the service has been created to help assist you or a loved one to events such as this or similar. Right at Home East Lancashire and Ribble Valley not only pride themselves on providing exceptional homecare throughout the Ribble Valley, Blackburn and Hyndburn, we offer services that extend out of the home, and can help you achieve to maintain social interaction.

It's fair to say Lisa & Jayne had a ball, soaking up the atmosphere and the opportunity to speak to lots of wonderful people. We are already looking forward to next year!

For those who haven't been, here's a glimpse into what you would expect at the Royal Lancs Show:

A Celebration of Agriculture:

  • Livestock Displays: The star of the show, for me, were the magnificent livestock displays. From towering Clydesdale horses to champion cows and fluffy sheep, the variety was incredible. You could even see rare breeds and witness judging competitions, a fascinating insight into the world of breeding and showing.
  • Show Jumping: Thrilling show jumping displays had the crowds roaring. The skill and athleticism of both horse and rider were awe-inspiring.
  • Food Glorious Food: The food hall was a haven for foodies! Locally sourced produce of every kind was on offer, from cheesemakers to artisan bakers and craft breweries. Needless to say, I left with a well-stocked picnic basket.

Overall, the Royal Lancashire Show was a fantastic experience. It was a perfect blend of education, entertainment, and delicious food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun-filled family day out in the Lancashire countryside.
