Overnight care is when a qualified and experienced CareGiver stays in your own home and supports with care needs during the night, which can include personal care, medication administration, reassurance, and companionship. Sleeping Nights – What is sleeping night care?
Sleeping night care gives you the reassurance of having someone present in case you require care during the night, although you may not need it. Our CareGiver will stay in your home and can assist a couple of times during the night. If you require more support, with multiple wake-ups during the night or longer periods of being awake, a waking service may be a more suitable care package.
Waking Nights
Waking Night – What is waking night care?
A waking night service means that the CareGiver is awake throughout the night, supporting with whatever needs you may have. They will be on duty throughout the night to ensure that you remain comfortable and cared for. This might include using the bathroom, changing position in bed, assisting with medication that needs to be taken during the night, or simply keeping you company if you find it hard to sleep.
Both types of night care usually start at 10.00pm and finish at 7.00am. If you need help getting ready for bed in the evening or would like assistance with getting dressed and having breakfast in the morning, we can provide assistance with this during regular hours.
