RaH recruitment campaign scoops a national care award
And further accolades for CEO Lucy Campbell

Earlier this year Right at Home responded to the ongoing challenges with care recruitment by creating a pioneering Careers in Care campaign, highlighting the many rewarding opportunities available within the sector.
And this month the campaign received national industry recognition, winning the Business Initiative of the Year at the 2022 Leaders in Care Awards.
Right at Home UK's CEO, Lucy Campbell, was also announced as Business Executive of the Year, with Right at Home UK named as a finalist in the Homecare Provider of the Year category.
Each year, key players in the social care sector come together for the Leaders in Care Awards, organised by Home Care Insight and Care Home Professional to celebrate outstanding achievements from the last 12 months.
Lucy moved from Chief Operations Officer to Chief Executive Office in January this year, and her ability to inspire and lead have seen her take the network from strength to strength, winning awards in franchising (EWiF Woman Franchisor of the Year) as well as care.
Despite another year of obstacles for the sector, she has become a voice not just for Right at Home, but for social care, and recently accepted a position as Vice Chair of the Homecare Association, the national body that represents our sector and campaigns for much-needed funding reforms.
Judges praised Lucy for her commitment to both Right at Home’s development, as well as that of the wider care sector, describing her as “a powerful and inspiring voice for care, delivering powerful messages calling for change to the right people.”
Speaking on the award wins, Lucy said: “I was very humbled and honoured to have been awarded the Executive of the Year title, which although technically a personal award, is absolutely in recognition of the collective endeavours of our wonderful network and of course my loyal and dedicated colleagues at National Office.
“We are delighted to have received not one, but two awards at this very special event. The Business Initiative of the Year Award is a testament to the incredible hard work and commitment of Right at Home to get social care professionals the recognition they deserve.
"I would like to say a very special congratulations to Heather Wehrle who has worked tirelessly to bring her vision to life through this campaign, making it as powerful as it is, during a time when it was truly needed.”
Judges reviewing the Business Initiative of the Year category were impressed by Right at Home’s dedication to make lasting and impactful change for the entire social care sector and its workforce.
They praised our bold moves in challenging public misconceptions about careers in care, in which we called on media and the government to show the profession for what it is, during one of the toughest periods for recruitment the industry has ever seen.
Judges were also impressed with the campaign's outcomes - both in supporting recruitment across the brand and shining a spotlight on the sector, attracting responses from Government that included the issue being raised in Parliament, and a Right at Home CareGiver speaking as a lived witness before the Health & Social Care Select Committe in the House of Commons.
Heather Wehrle, National People and Brand Development Manager said: “I am always proud to be a member of the Right at Home family, but days like today are especially noteworthy. These awards don’t just demonstrate our commitment to our Clients and CareGivers, but to creating true, lasting, positive change for our colleagues in the whole sector – ultimately so more people can receive outstanding, quality care when they need it
I am so proud to work alongside Lucy and couldn’t be prouder of what she has achieved.”
