Welcoming two new franchise offices
Owners of Right at Home Calderdale and Leeds East boost brand presence in Yorkshire

We've really enjoyed having the company of our new franchise owners again this week; completing their New Owner Induction Programme up at our National Office near Liverpool.

Richard Burgess, the new owner of Right at Home Calderdale, and Tahira and Farooq Muzammal, owners of Right at Home Leeds East & Headingly, have worked alongside each department in the National Office support team over a 10 day period, to develop their understanding of how to successfully operate our business model.
This will be followed by two days of on site support in their new offices, as they prepare to complete the CQC registration and start trading.
But that's just the start of their development journey; as new owners they will complete operational compliance training alongside their Registered Care Managers, and work through our accredited 'Train the Trainer' programme so they and their managers can deliver all CareGiver training in-house.
Family solicitor Tahira had long-standing ambitions to run a quality care company and had actually worked for a Right at Home office as part of her research into buying a franchise.
She said: “I’m really excited and want to get on with it now! We’re feeling energised and very secure in our decision, having seen the detail in the business model and the support that we’re going to be getting.”
Farooq added: “What I’ve learned from the induction is that in franchising the more you give, the more you will get. The people here at RaH UK are amazing – if we can replicate the atmosphere you have here and the quality of the people, then I will be proud. My personal goal is for RaH Leeds East to be featured on RaH’s marketing materials, as a shining example of a happy and successful team!
“We’re both really excited; the two weeks spent up here have been a lot of fun; we’ve learned a lot and reaffirmed a lot. Some of the business support tools we’ve been shown have got me salivating! It’s more what you would expect from a huge multi-billion dollar corporate than a company of this size.”
We are all looking forward to supporting Tahira, Farooq and Richard, who is the former COO of a national facilities maintenance company, to get their business CQC registered. They will spend approximately 12 months in our RightStart programme, receiving tailored support through their early months of trading, before they start to work with a regional business support manager, to scale up their operations.
