Care provider offers peace of mind solution

The team at community-minded care provider Right at Home GF is offering a month’s free trial of a new service which is designed to offer peace of mind to individuals and family members who have loved ones who live alone and are perhaps feeling more isolated than normal.
Right at Home Lite is being offered in partnership with Alertacall, which specialise in the development of technology so that people can remain independent for longer.
The new service makes innovative use of technology so that subscribers can confirm each day that they are OK. Anybody who signs up for the service will receive a specially designed telephone or a touchscreen which plugs into the telephone socket. All the client needs to do is to press the ‘OKEachDay’ button on their device before a pre-agreed time of their choice. If communication is not received, Right at Home will make contact to check they are OK and arrange help if needed.
Alastair Shanks, Managing Director at Right at Home says: “We have brought forward the introduction of Right at Home Lite because we recognise that not everyone wants or needs a care visit each day but with so many people in self-isolation, there is a very real need for the reassurance this easy to use service provides.
“Since launching it, we’ve had interest from sons and daughters who want the peace of mind that comes from knowing Mum or Dad are OK between care visits. We think it is such an essential service that we are offering the first month free as a trial. After the first month, it will cost around £35.”
Anybody who is interested in registering for the service should email us. The kit is usually dispatched within a few days and help with installation can be provided if needed.
