Dementia friendly musical afternoon - tickets available now

Tickets are on sale now for a very special fundraising concert which welcomes people with dementia and their carers, as well as the wider public. The show takes place at Farnham Maltings and is organised by Right at Home GF, the local home care provider.
Musical Memories is a dementia friendly musical event taking place on Saturday 23 October (2-4pm) when singers from all-female a capella group, In Accord, will sing their way through familiar songs from the likes of Simon and Garfunkel and the Beatles as well as well known hits from Queen and a medley of Bond theme tunes.
“The positive effects of music for people with dementia are widely known. We hope that lots of people living with dementia will join us at Farnham Maltings to enjoy an afternoon of great music,” says Alastair Shanks, the Managing Director of Right at Home GF. “Musical Memories is part of our ambition at Right at Home GF to help people with dementia and their carers to continue enjoying life in the community.”
Tickets are £15, which includes refreshments, and accompanying carers are invited to attend for free. Right at Home GF will use the funds raised through the event to support its community events. Tickets are available from Farnham Maltings’ box office and website. Doors open for Musical Memories at 1.45pm and the show includes a short interval.
