Doorstep Duets come to Right at Home GF

An initiative dedicated to bringing world-class dance directly to people’s doorsteps made a special visit to home care provider Right at Home GF on Wednesday 14 August.
In the peaceful setting of Right at Home’s garden, clients and their families were treated to a captivating performance of ‘Hum’, a Doorstep Duet by New Adventures. This poignant piece illustrated how one small gesture of kindness to a stranger ripples out to create a community for those who need it most. The project aims to bring joy, escapism and connection and make world-class dance more accessible.
Liz Young, Right at Home GF’s Marketing and Recruitment Manager commented: “In addition to the benefits of watching dance, we also know that for people living with dementia, taking part is a good way for them to maintain and improve their coordination and strength. It’s for this reason that we are expanding our efforts to get more people involved in Love to Move which is our own seated exercise class. We have plans to train several of our caregivers to lead Love to Move which will not only enhance their skills but will mean we can provide opportunities for a greater number of people to take part in this community class.”
