Making our carers visible

This week is Carers’ Week and the theme is Making Caring Visible.

At Right at Home GF we are really proud of our caregivers and like nothing more than having the chance to celebrate the positive contribution they make to the lives of our clients in Farnham, Aldershot, Fleet, Alton, Bordon, Godalming and Guildford.

For too long, carers have been the unsung heroes of our society but over the past few months, the role carers play in keeping vulnerable members safe and living at home has never been more appreciated. Our clients certainly value our caregivers and have given them a thumbs up for being there for them during the COVID-19 pandemic with home care and live-in care.

Alastair Shanks, Managing Director says: “We are always seeking new ways to show our caregivers how much we value them. From paying team members a COVID-19 bonus of up to £150 and giving each caregiver a luxury hand cream to soothe their hands from the effects of all the handwashing to monthly staff events and reward schemes, we look after our caregivers all year round so they can look after our clients.”

Over the past two years, Right at Home GF has received favourable reviews for its services from clients and their relatives and has scored an average 9.9 out of ten. Here’s what Oliver, who is the nephew of one of our clients had to say about our home care: “Right at Home staff are a perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness, always happy to help out with small tasks, assist with shopping, medication and paperwork but, most importantly, they provide invaluable and genuine companionship, particularly welcome in this time of social distancing.
