Mention Me 1-2-3

Mary and Nikki
Nearly every week we turn down a few new clients as we don’t have enough capacity to take them on. Most of these people have been recommended to us by existing clients or friends of Right at Home and they need our help, so it is terrible to have to say no.
We have a first class team of CareGivers and if we could clone them all, we would! The next best thing is to ask them to recommend us as a fabulous place to work.
This is Nikki’s story of how Right at Home was recommended to her:
“Mary used to be my neighbour. I’ve known Mary for at least 12 years, she’s always been there if we have needed anything down to borrowing some sugar and vice versa or having a quick catch up on the driveways when we are either coming home or going to work.
“Its funny because I was offered a job with Right at Home a couple of years ago but I also got a job at the hospital at the same time, so I took the job at the hospital instead. I was talking to Mary one day and she mentioned to me that she was now working for Right at Home. I asked her how she was getting on and she said she loved the job; the clients are all lovely, minimum callouts of an hour, good rates of pay and also training available. I said I was looking for a new job and Mary said I should apply to join the care team at Right at Home as it would suit me – she knows that my passion is caring for people.
“I was very impressed with the contact I had with the Right at Home team. I thought the whole process from applying for the job to training was very quick and efficient. After being with the team for a couple of weeks I feel very settled and relaxed knowing that the team are very approachable and helpful, I feel confident that I made the right decision to join the Right at Home team, the girls I’ve been shadowing have done a fantastic job of making me feel welcome and showing me the ropes – especially as they are busy themselves. I would definitely recommend working for Right at Home.”
