Award-winning local home care provider, Right at Home GF, has appointed a new director of care to oversee care services provided across its three branches. Right at Home, which serves Guildford and Farnham, Alton and Bordon and Twickenham and Richmond appointed Sara Woodley in July.
“Sara has worked as the registered manager at all three of our offices, ensuring compliance with quality and legal standards and exceptional standards of care for our clients,” says Alastair Shanks, Managing Director at Right at Home. “Sara brings extremely valuable experience and expertise to the role. Having joined Right at Home in 2013 as a care assistant, she has worked her way up through the company to this very important role. She knows the care sector inside and out and is passionate about caring for people. Her constant striving for better care standards makes her a valuable asset for Right at Home, a champion for our clients’ needs and an inspiration for anybody who is thinking about a career in care.”
Sara will drive Right at Home’s care strategy with a view to achieving an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission for all three branches as well as introducing further improvements.
Sara says: “Right at Home’s approach for ensuring we provide the best care for our clients is based on having the best staff who we support thoroughly and train to the highest professional standards. Excellent care starts with excellent caregivers who are confident in working in our highly regulated sector and keeping up to speed with our own processes - and, just as importantly, who maintain a caring attitude and passion for helping clients.”
Sara has worked in the care profession for over 30 years, including roles as a complex carer for young adults and as a training provider. After joining Right at Home as a care assistant, Sara worked her way through team leader and management roles before becoming Registered Manager of the Guildford and Farnham office. She has also held the role at Alton and Bordon and has recently become registered manager at the Twickenham and Richmond branch.
