Theresa

My name is Theresa and I have been working at Right at Home as Care Recruiter/Coordinator for just over a year.

I started my career in care in 2016 as a Care Giver, I absolutely loved it and felt this was definitely the right choice for me. Having had 5 children (all grown up now) I was used to caring for others and it came naturally to me. I progressed to a Team Leader role within the company which I was dubious about, but it really suited me and I thrived on it. I went on to complete my Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care and started my level 5 but personal circumstances prevented me from completing this. This is something I will definitely go back to in the near future.

I have since progressed to recruiting and doing the scheduling here at Right at Home and find I thoroughly enjoy the new challenge. I have learnt so much in the past 12 months (finding cover at short notice is definitely an art form!)

I am a naturally happy and caring person with a great sense of humour (well I think so) I find humour in life can help you in difficult situations and puts people at ease.

I love to make a positive difference to people's lives and feel I am certainly achieving this working together with the fantastic team we have here.

I feel I am very lucky to be working in the care industry and would highly recommend it to anyone as a great career opportunity.
