Following a care assessment, with you and your loved ones a care plan is carefully designed to meet your individual needs. This personalised care plan incorporates your goals and interests, taken from the information that you and your family provided at the care assessment. This enables us to provide a carefully selected Right at Home live-in CareGiver to live with you in your own home and deliver the bespoke activities set out in your personalised care plan.
All of our live-in CareGivers undergo a full enhanced DBS police check and attend our in-house induction as well as receiving ongoing training. Our live-in CareGivers are trained to the highest possible standard and are visited fortnightly by our live-in Care Supervisor so you can rest assured that you will experience an exceptional level of care and support.

The primary benefit of live-in care is that Clients can continue living at home as independently as possible with support and companionship to enhance the Client's quality of life.
The Client receives one-to-one care, of which the level and type of support that they need is chosen, by them, to meet their individual needs. The Client retains control to choose what to eat, where to go and is actively supported to access the local community and join in with local groups and events as well as being part of their family functions. Having a well-trained familiar live-in CareGiver to call on when care and support is needed offers reassurance and a feeling of safety and security for the Client.
The Client's family and friends can visit when they choose, stay overnight, or come for lunch. Our aim is to enhance the Client's quality of life and to support them and those that are important to them to have quality time together.
What does full-time live-in care involve?
A live-in CareGiver will reside with you in your home providing one-to-one support to meet your needs. The live-in CareGiver is legally entitled to a daily two-hour break during the day: the time is agreed upon with you, the Client, the CareGiver and the Right at Home Havant & Petersfield.
Meals are freshly prepared, and the CareGiver will eat with you as part of the family. The food shopping can be carried out by the CareGiver, or it can be arranged by the Client or the Client’s family. You will pay for the food or provide the CareGiver with a weekly allowance of £40.00. The live-in CareGiver will need their own room with Wi-Fi.

How much does a live-in carer cost?
