Right at Home Ipswich talks to BBC Radio Suffolk about Dementia Services
Published: 23/06/2020
Thanks to BBC Radio Suffolk for enabling us to share valuable info. on dementia services.
With face to face dementia advisory services stopping due to coronavirus, it has been hard for many people at home supporting a loved one with dementia, who are themselves living with dementia, or perhaps feel they have memory problems – but no diagnosis of dementia.
With places such as Day Centres put on hold, some are considering a CareGiver to support them, or to give their partner valuable breaks. CareGivers can spend time with someone, giving their family carere time to re-energise and catch up. #respitecare
For anyone wanting to know more about homecare services, and the free virtual dementia advisory services that are all readily available in Suffolk, you can hear more from Right at Home Ipswich at BBC Radio Suffolk (1 hr and 12 mins into the programme, after Gloria Estefan! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08gnp7l
Thank you to the Suffolk Dementia Forum and other colleagues for their input that enabled us to get the information and numbers broadcast yesterday. I wish we’d had more time on air as there’s always more to say, and to learn about dementia support. Glad we were also able to mention the Suffolk Family Carers and the Ipswich Dementia Action Alliance🙂 also!
