A big thank you to Right at Home Ipswich Caregiver Laura and Manager Debbie, for helping reunite the wonderful Mrs O. with Mr. W. And thank you to Mr. and Mrs W's daughter Julie for laying on afternoon tea. It was lovely to see, reminding us all how some older people cannot easily access the community, friends, and acquaintances. Laura accompanied Mrs O. to Mr. and Mrs W's where they were able to catch up after many years.
Laura was supporting both of them separately and Mr. W happened to mention in a conversation with Laura about the lovely nurse who looked after him and how they became friends and used to chat in the town every week.
Laura called Debbie and asked if we could get them together for a reunion as this would make their day. Debbie waved her magic wand along with Laura and granted their wish!
