Gulzeab’s Story: Gulzeab's journey into caregiving began with a unique twist. While many CareGivers have cared for older family members, Gulzeab's initial experience was looking after her young son, who is now a teenager and lives with complex needs. Her other two children have grown up and left home, and as we got to know her family, we could see where her deep sense of compassion and unwavering work ethic comes from.

Gulzeab’s Advocacy: Gulzeab is not only a compassionate CareGiver. She is also a passionate advocate for her son and his medical condition. Her extensive experience and expertise led Yorkshire-based university teaching hospitals to ask her to speak to medical professionals during their training, something she does on an almost weekly basis.

Today she is actively involved in a teaching hospital board, where her role entails conducting interviews with professionals for their courses. The comprehensive training, she received from Right at Home and the NHS, has greatly enhanced her skills and expertise, shaping her into the competent professional she is today.

Gulzeab’s Perspective: In her words Gulzeab reflects on her journey; "With over 15 years of experience as a healthcare professional and advocate, I have acquired a diverse set of skills that greatly contribute to my role as a CareGiver. I firmly believe in providing person-centred care that takes into account the needs of individuals. As a CareGiver, it is my priority to deliver exceptional care with positive outcomes, just as I would expect for my child.
