Right at Home Loughborough delivers excellent care in the home to clients in Rothley and surrounds.
Rothley is a bustling village in the Borough of Charnwood, in Leicestershire, close to the River Soar, and a population of around 4,000. Mentioned in the doomsday book, Rothley has a parish church which dates back to the 14th century.
One of the things that Rothley is particularly known for is the links to the railway. The station at Rothley was initially opened in 1899, as part of the London extension to the Great Central Railway, following various changes through the years, such as the nationalisation of the railways, and various acquisitions and restructuring, traffic was moved to other routes and the station was closed and, inevitably, the station closed in 1969. However, there was a group of enthusiasts who were dedicated to keeping the line going and although there were many obstacles to overcome, and with Charnwood Council assisting by purchasing some land, the project was able to proceed.
Getting back to more current times, Rothley has a variety of pubs restaurants, independent and high street shops.
Rothley has a locally published magazine, The Rothley Post, sharing news and forthcoming events, along with adverts from local businesses.
