Right at home took their first steps yesterday to having a Dementia friendly community,
raising awareness through Dementia Friends an initiative created by the Alzheimer’s Society.
We attended a Housing complex and gave a Dementia awareness session to residents and staff,
A fun session was had by all and we was given a warm and friendly welcome.
We met some lovely resident one of which was 101 and kept us amused the whole time with her witty charm.
It was a real pleasure to see some of our residents in our community take such a interest in Dementia Awareness and all took pride in receiving their badges.
