Maidenhead Caregiver Nominated For National Award

Daniela Postaru from Slough has been shortlisted as National Caregiver of The Year for 2018 by Right At Home UK.

The winner for the award will be presented at an awards ceremony on the 19th of September 2018 at Right At Home’s head office in Liverpool. Daniela from Right at Home Windsor & Maidenhead is in the running for this award along with three other caregivers who work for Right At Home in the UK these are as follows Ross (RaH Cardiff and Newport), Yvonne (RaH Nottingham), Jayne (RaH Twickenham). All of these people have been nominated for this award by their team members, this is because of their determination and for truly making a difference to people’s lives, it is now down to Right At Home Head office to make the tough decision.

Right At Home UK is a domiciliary care service which delivers care across the UK, it was originally established by Ken Deary in the Uk in 2010. In 2011 Ken began seeking like-minded people to open Right at Home offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In 2013 Right At Home Windsor & Maidenhead first opened and it has been delivering care to its community ever since. They are continuously growing with on average 45 caregivers delivering care and companionship to the people in their community.                    

Right At Home Windsor & Maidenhead had the tough decision of choosing one of their caregivers to be put forward for the award, they thought hard and chose Daniela for all the right reasons. Daniela always goes above and beyond for all of her clients and really goes the extra mile, even in the car! Daniela is known by many for taking her clients out in the community. She regularly takes her clients to local Charity Events, Singing for Pleasure, Moves & Groves and even the cinema. This breaks up the clients day and ensures community engagement is maintained and gives the client’s families reassurance for when they are unable to visit their friends and family everyday.

Daniela is very famous at Right At Home Windsor & Maidenhead for her cooking, Daniela gets a lot of praise from the clients and caregivers. This is because in any spare time Daniela has during the working week she will use this time making snacks and treats for her clients. This can be anything from pancakes to a full roast! She really does go to great lengths for everyone around her.

Right at Home Windsor & Maidenhead would like to thank Daniela for all of her hard work, she is always smiling and ensuring everyone around her is ok. Daniela really does deserve the Caregiver of the year award for 2018, she never lets anyone down and is always ensuring her clients are making the most of their day and enjoying life to its fullest. Well Done Daniela!
