Caroline Grant

I was born and raised in Lambeth, South London.

We moved to Kent for a better quality of life and I worked within the education system in a local school as a Teaching Assistant.

When we were struck with the Covid Pandemic, I had time to reflect on my life and decided I needed to do more. I wanted to make a difference and be in a job caring and helping the older generation so I considered becoming a CareGiver.  I was told I had a good personality for being CareGiver. I debated this as I wasn’t sure if I could do personal care. I came across Right at Home and did some research on them. I finally took the plunge and called. I have never looked back.

I have been with Right at Home for 3 years now and have gone from strength to strength. I started at the bottom working hard to learn from some amazing CareGivers. I absolutely love my job and started to gain confidence and found myself becoming more intrigued with how other roles work within the company. I have recently been promoted to work alongside the Care Manager as a Field Care Supervisor doing initial assessments, sourcing new clients and writing Care Plans.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family and cooking. I would like to say I am a keen gardener but I can’t tell the difference between a weed and a flower but I try!
