News from our clients

Out with Anne

This is Anne, our wonderful Client, enjoying a beautiful day out this month in the gardens with her dedicated Caregiver! There’s nothing like the joy of connecting with nature and good company.

Reunited and it feels so good!

Our current Client had a lovely catch-up with a former Client who has moved into residential care. It’s heart warming to see the bonds formed through our care continue to thrive, no matter where life takes us. At Right at Home, we’re not just about providing care; we’re about building lasting connections.

Having a blast with funky glasses!

Caregiver Becky and her Client were all about the fun and laughter this month. At Right at Home, we believe in making every moment special and creating joyful experiences together.

Feeding the pigeons and sharing smiles!

This month, Anne enjoyed a lovely day in the park with her Caregiver, making new feathered friends. Moments like these remind us of the joy in simple pleasures.

Great team meeting at The New Inn at Cross, Somerset

As a team we feel it’s important to get together on a regular basis and discuss important topics. It was fantastic to get together at The New Inn at Cross, Somerset this month and make the most of its lovely meeting room and delicious food and drinks.

It was wonderful to finally bring together the whole Area 3 team for some productive discussions and a fun social afterwards. Here’s to teamwork and great connections!

Building Connections

We’re all about building connections, so here’s a snapshot of some of our staff enjoying a one-to-one at Congars Cafe in Congresbury, sharing ideas and strengthening our commitment to exceptional care.

Congars Cafe is not just a great spot for a cozy chat, it also offers delicious food and a warm atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome. We highly recommend stopping by for a treat if you can.

Celebrating one year of Rachel

Cheers to Rachel on her two-year work anniversary with Right at Home! Her dedication and compassion has made a significant impact on our Clients and team. We're so grateful to have Rachel on the team and we are excited to see all the amazing things you will continue to achieve.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During October we celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month, honouring survivors, remembering those we've lost, and promoting early detection. Our team is always committed to raising awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer in our community and we spent the month fundraising. There is still plenty of time to donate if you can here.

World Stroke Day

We rounded off the month by raising awareness of World Stroke Day, which took place on October 29.

We believe in the power of a healthy lifestyle to reduce stroke risk and have been sharing some simple steps people can take to help prevent strokes, they include:

  • Eat Well. Load up on fruits, veggies, and whole grains while cutting back on salt and sugar.
  • Stay Active. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week - every little bit counts!
  • Manage Stress. Find time to relax and unwind, it’s good for your heart and mind.
  • Quit Smoking. If you smoke, seek support to kick the habit - your body will thank you!
  • Know Your Numbers. Keep track of your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
