• Why did you start working in care?

I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. I got into support work and my love for care started from there.

• Where are you from?

I’m from Leigh.

• What did you want to be when you were younger?

I always wanted to be a singer when I was younger.

• If you could choose any super-power what would it be and why?

A healing presence, to ease pain and bring comfort. No words, no touch, just a presence to create a space where people feel safe.

• What do you do to unwind after a long day?

I like to be with my family, good food and watching films.

• What one piece of advice would you give to someone wanting to get into care?

Come into care with a very open mind. You will never get two days the same and if it gets hard push through and learn from things as the work we do is so rewarding.
