"I’ve been using Right at Home for over a year now and I’m very pleased. At the start of our relationship they took the time to understand my needs and how best to meet them. Since then they’ve met those needs consistently and professionally. I’m always fully introduced to a new carer and all the carers turn up on time, knowing what they need to do. As my care needs increase, Right at Home have increased their provision accordingly and (so far, touch wood) nothing has been too difficult for them."

Our Community - Things to do near East Leake

East Leake's history stretches back to Anglo-Saxon times, likely founded around the 6th century. The village name itself hints at its origins, with "Leake" referring to wet land (leche). Farming communities settled near the Kingston Brook, but on higher ground for better drainage. The Domesday Book mentions East Leake in 1086, showing it was already a sizeable settlement. St. Mary's Church, dating back to the 11th century, stands as a testament to the village's long history.

At Right at Home Nottingham we promote community activities and social connection as it can be crucial for well-being. These activities also combat loneliness, stress and isolation by providing opportunities to interact with others, build friendships, and share experiences.

This social engagement can boost mood, improve cognitive function, and even offer a sense of purpose. Community activities can also be physically stimulating, promoting movement and coordination. Overall, integrating into a community helps seniors feel connected, valued, and engaged in life.
