Christopher Tansley

Starting his first business venture in 1993 Christopher owned and operated a successful cleaning and restoration franchise for a 16 year period successfully selling in 2007, at which point took some time out to travel before looking into alternatives ventures.

Next, Christopher decided to put his franchising knowledge to good use and became a franchise consultant matching the right people to good franchise opportunities. "This was perfect for me because I’m definitely a people person and I really enjoyed dealing with so many different franchises from such varied sectors. That was when I first discovered Right at Home, who shared my values"

Why did you start a business in Home care and support?

“It’s a fantastic industry, very rewarding, with the right team and a strong work ethic you can really shape the culture of the business and set an expectation of the professional standards. Most of our work comes from word of mouth now, because we are setting standards in social care in Nottingham. It’s great to be part of something positive like that.”

“My plan now is to continue developing our services and team, to continue to provide dependable community healthcare. Quality personalised support is as powerful as anything medical, if done correctly, but there is a huge misconception that care workers are not skilled. We are building a strong team of professionals who are having an amazing impact on the lives of the people they support"
