Choosing a homecare provider for your loved one can be daunting and quite often, a journey into the unknown. Twelve months ago, Mervyn was looking for support to help care for his wife, Margaret. After extensive research into the various options available to him, he enlisted our support at Right at Home Portsmouth . A year on from Margaret’s first care call, Mervyn got in touch with our Managing Director, Joe Morgan, to share his feedback on the support provided by our CareGivers.

I am not sure quite how you achieve it, but you seem able to recruit – and equally important – retain high quality staff. We have benefited on so many occasions from the experience of the CareGivers.

This not only applies to the way they cope with Margaret’s problems, but also in giving me advice on so many aspects of her care. I have found this particular aspect of great help to me. However, it is the manner in which this care and support is given I find so impressive.

It is given in such a sensitive and professional manner that what might be difficult or embarrassing situations are only helpful and positive. In addition – and equally important to me – is the very good humour of the CareGivers.

Whether it is the cheery good morning accompanied by a beaming smile or the friendly, cheerful greeting in the evening, when I am sure we are all feeling tired.
