Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District recognised with latest awards

Twyford based homecare provider, Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District is the proud recipient of two new awards, recognising the office as both one of the South East’s top homecare providers and a 5*Star employer.


Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District has been awarded 5*Star Employer status for the 5th year running.  This award follows its annual anonymised CareGiver Satisfaction Survey results, administered by the independent research company, WorkBuzz.

The office has also been recognised as one of the Top 20 most highly rated homecare providers in the South East of England (out of more than 1800 providers), also for the 5th consecutive year, by the leading directory and independent review website, homecare.co.uk.


WorkBuzz 5*Star Employer Award

Every employee of Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District took part in the WorkBuzz Satisfaction Survey in 2023, reporting a WorkBuzz “Engagement Scores” of 100%. Anonymised highlights from the report include:


100% of the team responded that they:

  • are proud to work for Right at Home
  • would recommend Right at Home as a great place to work
  • feel motivated to go the extra mile
  • see themselves working at Right at Home in 12 months time
  • found the initial training and support helped them understand why Right at Home is different from other homecare providers
  • thought the initial training and support prepared them for their first Client visit
  • have access to the training they need to their job well
  • felt they have enough time to deliver quality care for their clients and are given enough travel time between client visits
  • understand the goals visions and values of Right at Home, and believe the office is effectively managed and well run
  • find that Right at Home cares about their well-being
  • would recommend Right at Home’s services to someone who needs care

Speaking on the results of the CareGiver Satisfaction Survey, Kevin Lancaster, Owner of Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District said:
It is very important to me that as an organization we never forget that in order to deliver the very best quality of care, we need to make sure that we find, hire and train the very best quality people we can to join our team, and then support them and build their skills over time so they stay with us, and allow us to maintain high levels of quality and consistency of care that we have developed a solid reputation for. Both in terms of the overall service we provide, but also on a client-by-client basis. Our CareGivers are matched with clients, and we work hard to ensure continuity and consistency within the teams that support each client. To win this prestigious award once again in 2023 is really great validation that we are on the right tracks.


Annual Client Satisfaction Survey

Each year, along-side the WorkBuzz CareGiver survey, Right at Home also invests in an annual Client Satisfaction Survey, to enable continuous improvement in its offering to Clients and their families. This year, 78% of the clients who receive care from Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District took part in the survey with some outstanding results, including:

Clients were asked for their opinion on the quality of care they receive across a range of topics, and in 2023, 100% of those responding said that their Caregivers

  • make a positive difference to their life
  • are well matched to their care needs
  • arrive on time
  • stay for the allocated amount of time unless requested otherwise
  • are caring and have an excellent understanding of their care needs

and that the office team

  • respond effectively when their needs of wishes change
  • appear to support the caregivers

Overall, for the 5th successive year, 100% of the clients responding to the anonymous survey said they would recommend Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District to others.

Clients were also able to leave comments with feedback on the care they receive and their CareGivers. Some of the comments written by Clients and their families include:

  • “The Carers are amazing, always making the most of the time they spend with mum. The manager and owner go above and beyond to support us and mum to make sure she is always safe and happy”. – DK
  • The team have been fantastic since taking over my mum’s care last summer. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have regularly gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everything is as good for her as it can be”. – MO

Homecare.co.uk Top 20 Homecare Provider 2023 Award Winner

This award is based on the reviews left for Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District from Clients, as well as their friends and relatives. Right at Home Reading & Wokingham District has been consistently rated 9.9 or 10 out of 10 on homecare.co.uk since April 2018, and has maintained an impressive recommendation score of 10/10 since early 2019, with 35 reviews as of May 2023. The service has been rated in the Top 20 in SE England for each of the 5 full years it has been providing care in Reading & Wokingham District. For a sense of the scale of this achievement by the Twyford-based CareGiving team, there are more than 1800 CQC Registered Homecare providers in South East England from which the Top 20 are identified – the top 1% most highly recommended homecare providers in the region.

The Right at Home network of more than 70 branches currently has a total of almost 3,000 reviews on the website.
