Our excellent CareGiver Xanelle from Oxted has been working at Right at Home for five years, and her care and kindness are the same for all of our elderly clients. In these years, she has consistently gone the extra mile; that makes Xanelle a remarkable and selfless team member.
Xanelle used to support a lady living with dementia who recently passed away. Xanelle's support for the client and her husband towards the end of life has been remarkable. She acted promptly on the consultants/doctor's advice to adopt the pureed diet; she bought her mixer grinder to puree the meals and encourage the client to eat; she organised a change of medication and liaised with the Therapy team and the hospice to make this transition as smooth as possible for the client and her elderly husband. Without any immediate family, the client's husband described Xanelle's support and sympathetic ear as 'God Send' at his wife's funeral speech. Husband has planted the Rose plant given by Xanelle in their garden.
Xanelle was also the deserving Care Worker of the Year 2022 at Surrey Care Awards
