Dementia Matters
As providers of quality home care and companionship services, Right at Home Reigate and Crawley support people who live with dementia on a daily basis.
We understand the positive impact that the right support has and pride ourselves in helping our clients and their families to live well with dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever as they work towards finding a cure. We have chosen to support the charity where those affected by dementia are supported, accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society
We organised some fun events in the last few months:
Potting the plant – at East Surrey Hospital. The event encouraged the patients, families and hospital staff to plant a seasonal flower in a terracotta pot in memory of someone living with dementia.
We raised a total of £40.00
Step on Dementia challenge – Our brilliant team participated in the challenge to walk 800,000 steps in 7 days
and raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. This was a great week with everyone keeping track of their steps while having fun.
We raised a total of £373.00.
Cup Cake Day at St. Mary’s Chruch, Oxted – The team baked cakes and cup cakes for the fundraising sale. The church supported us by letting us use their meeting room for the morning. Lots of tattoos were printed and faces painted while eating the cakes.
A total of £108.00 was raised from the sale.
So far, we have raised a total of £521.00. Here is our JustGiving page if you would like to make a small donation to help us reach our target of £800.00.
