The Queen's Jubilee Celebrations | Right at Home Solent 

The Jubilee weekend is soon approaching. A weekend where the whole Nation will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth II; her life and life-long her reign. On 6 February 2022 Her Majesty, the Queen, became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, Queen Elizabeth is the first British monarch to ever celebrate 70 years on the throne, this is a historically significant event and as a result, we have been given an extended bank holiday weekend to enjoy it and take it all in. To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place over the bank holiday weekend; providing an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate this magnificent historic milestone. And of course, we at Right at Home Solent celebrated it too!

Earlier this week we did two open afternoons at our Fareham office for our office staff, Care Assistants and of course our amazing clients to come along, play some activities, have some tea, some cake, and just talk with one another! Since the COVID-19 pandemic started 2.5 years ago, one of the hardest parts (for all of us I’m sure) was not being able to see our loved ones, or just see people in normal day-to-day life. For us at Right at Home Solent, it was definitely not being able to properly connect with our clients or our Care Assistants. It made the office staff so happy to see some of the faces that we haven’t been able to see for years. And for some of our clients, it was their first time ever seeing the faces of some of those they’ve been communicating with over the phone for a very long time – it was absolutely priceless! We are so glad that we are now able to start welcoming our clients and our amazing Care Assistants back into our Fareham and Southampton office and spend some time with them again!
