Right at Home Celebrate Halloween and Outstanding Home Care in Fareham

This Halloween, Tuesday 31st October 2023, we held our Annual Networking and Client Coffee Club in our Fareham Office. We invited businesses and charities and those in the community we have worked with to come together at our Fareham Office for breakfast and a chat. Engaging and collaborating with our community network allows us to share best practices, which improves our services further and elderly services in the local community.

In the morning, we welcomed people from the likes of:

- Mayflower Court
- Andover Mind
- Gosport Voluntary Action - GVA
- Solent Mobility Centre
- Care UK
We have collaborated or worked with each of these businesses/charities over the last year and more that couldn't attend, such as Mountbatten Hampshire, Speedwell Court, Southampton City Council and Wiltshire Farm Foods.
Our office staff came in throughout the morning to say hello to those who attended and enjoyed a bacon bap from Soothills Bakery. Of course, it wouldn't be Halloween without some scary makeup and silly photos, and we took this opportunity to do that. Right at Home Solent doesn't just provide Home Care in Fareham; we like to give back to the community and go above and beyond. Halloween is one of the ways we love to do that.
Home Care and Client Coffee Club in Fareham
In the afternoon, after handing out our goody bags and following a quick clean and reset, we welcomed a handful of our Clients and CareGivers for our Halloween Coffee Club. We had the lovely Caroline and Yvonne run a variety of crafts, including making lollie-pops into creepy crawly spiders and decorating gruesome gingerbread. The room was full of laughter and smiles all afternoon, increasingly when a few people stuck their googly eyes on the wrong end of their spider! After some tea and cake, pastries and crafts, we rounded the afternoon up with Halloween bingo! Amy and Kev's daughter soon called Bingo, but when presented with her prize of cupcakes, she announced she would let someone else have them, melting the hearts of all in the room. It's safe to say everyone left with a smile and a full stomach.
