Homecare provider Right at Home Solent has been named Business Charity Partnership of the Year, as awarded by Countess Mountbatten Hospice, a local charity funded hospice.
Right at Home Solent was recognised for its support throughout 2019. This enabled the hospice to put on an event for more than 500 people in the local community. The ‘Sunflower Walk‘ took place in Broadlands Estate Romsey where over £30,000 was raised for the Hospice.
Right at Home Solent – which is run by Kev and Amy Popat – supports people to continue living independently in the comfort of their own home. It offers a wide range of services, from companionship and personal care through to medication reminders and full-time live-in care.
Kev and Amy said: “It has been an absolute pleasure supporting the amazing work of Countess Mountbatten Hospice, which has been caring for people for over 40 years. A big thank you to our team for really getting behind the partnership and lending their support. And being the first through the finish line too! We look forward to continuing our work with the hospice in 2020.”
In addition to supporting the hospice, Right at Home Solent will also be taking part in a 24-hour cycle challenge on Thursday 6th February. All to raise funds for Southampton Dementia Festival.
The business – which is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission – has had a fantastic start to 2020. In addition to this award, it was also shortlisted for Best Employer at the national Skills for Care Accolades.
